Perhaps one of Big Cottonwood Canyons best kept secrets, Hidden Falls is a gorgeous waterfall just off the side of the road near the Lake Blanche trailhead. It features a waterfall, and is good for all skill levels and abilities. A short water crossing or tightrope walk on a fallen tree trunk gets you to the other side of the river, and about 100 feet later, you can see the falls! It often gets passed by since it is such a short walk, but in spring when the water is flowing fuller, the sight is wonderful!

I personally love this waterfall since it feels like a piece of Southern Utah is nestled with in the Wasatch Mountains! The beautiful “canyon” walls are reminiscent of a wider slot canyon down in Moab or Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
If you’re in the area, definitely check it out – it’s often very uncrowded and it’s a pretty sight to see along the way!
Parting shot:

Next blog: More hiking! I also took a trip down to Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I will have plenty of blogs to display this beautiful area!
