This trip to Yellowstone was nothing like I had ever experienced in the past. It was filled with new adventures, few people, lots of wildlife, and fun adventures. One of the plans I made this trip was for a scenic cruiser ride on Lake Yellowstone, and I somehow managed to keep it a secret from Mercedes up until the event! I've wanted to get out on Yellowstone Lake in a big way before, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity for a fun time (and a surprise) and to complete my little goal!

Explore this half-mile thermal area located just north of the Old Faithful area in West Yellowstone National Park. This short trail features some of the best thermal pools and geysers in the park and receives moderate to heavy traffic.
Biscuit Basin is a beautiful area right off the main road to Old Faithful. It features some of the best thermal areas in the whole park and seems to be overlooked and overshadowed due to its proximity to Old Faithful. This is a short walking trail good for all ages and is wheelchair accessible, thanks to boardwalks in the thermal area.
