Hey there,
It’s been a while since I’ve sent one of these. I got to the Swell a few hours ago, found my camp in the dark, and cooked dinner for myself. I made a fire with some dead and down wood, I found around my camp since the chilly October air was cutting at my hands and face. I’m glad I have a hat and a warm coat.
I was going to go to bed, but I saw a few stars poking out over the horizon. I decided to get my camera out, and, well, here’s the best result I got. I’ve seen the Milky Way so clearly from so many different areas around Utah, and this place is no exception. The night is quiet, too. No birds, no bugs, no wind.
The starry night was just beautiful. And it was eerily quiet.
